We've Raised The Bar, Again
Since The Bearded Bastard launched in 2011, our beard oil has consistently been one of the highest rated beard grooming products around. Never ones to sit on our laurels, though, we're proud to say we've raised the bar again.
We've taken our top-rated beard oil recipe — one of the first to target both coarse hair and the dry skin associated with beard growth — and made it even better.
Starting today, our beard oil will now be broken into two categories. Our Classic beard oils are made with the same award winning recipe that's been featured in GQ, Esquire, and Men's Journal. Our new Premium recipe beard oils are made with even more high-end oils for softer hair and long-term beard health.
Learn what makes both so great for beards below.
Classic Recipe
Scents: Woodsman, Morocco, Simply Vanilla
Targeted Uses: Shorter beards & first-time beardsmen
Key Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Castor Oil, Olive Oil
Key Benefits: Lightweight oils like sweet almond, safflower, and grapeseed oil moisturize skin and hair without leaving you feeling greasy or clogging pores. Nourishing oils like jojoba, argan, castor, and olive oil leave hair feeling softer and more manageable.
Premium Recipe
Scents: Opium Den, Barbershop, Barista
Targeted Uses: Thick, coarse beards & long-term beardsmen
Key Ingredients: Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Broccoli Seed Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil
Key Benefits: Our new Premium recipe contains the same moisturizing ingredients as our Classic recipe, along with additional oils targeted at long-term beard growth. Meadowfoam seed and broccoli seed oils are ideal for coarse, curly hair, and rosehip and pomegranate seed oil provide antioxidants for healthy hair and skin.

Hi,
I’m also a bit disappointed with the customer service. I sent an email 3 times in the last couple of weeks (both using the online form and the provided email address), but I didn’t get any answer. I know that people are busy, but 3 weeks is quite a lot.

Sorry to hear you’re thinking about leaving, JC. Because these Premium oils cost a lot for us to source, we didn’t want to have to raise prices on our classic scents like Woodsman. We also wanted to provide an alternative for guys that were looking for a little “extra” for their beard.
If you have thoughts on what scents you’d like to see in the Premium recipe, shoot us an email at help@thebeardedbastard.com. Thanks!

Just sent you a message, Johan!

Thanks, Lyle!

Lame why not make all the products of the best oils and not call one for one thing and one for the other. I’ll be moving on thanks but no thanks.

Cool! Can you please check your inbox? Your products are really nice but your customer service is sadly quite lacking..

Ive been wondering(and hoping) for some time now that you guys create a Barista Beard Balm to pair with the oil…i absolutelt love the oil,one of the most unique scents out there..but i really like using a balm with the oil due to the course nature if my beard and the ever present fly a ways…any plans on making a Barista Balm anytime soon?
